CLEARFIELD - An apparent love triangle turned violent Thursday, and now homicide charges hang over one of two men flown to an area hospital with gunshot wounds. Norman Kauffman, 53, of Penfield allegedly shot James Dixon in the head in the basement of Trinity United Methodist Church on South Second Street about 6:30 a.m., then fled to the rugged cover of the Moshannon State Forest.
